The minister is outraged by the president's decision. "He has embarked on a new mission, building a para-right wing."

"At the end of his presidency, Andrzej Duda has decided to embark on a new mission: building a right-wing political party in Poland. Perhaps he's building a future for himself," said Minister of Family, Labor, and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, commenting on the partial pardon granted to Robert Bąkiewicz on the "Graffiti" program. In her opinion, Duda's move is "a signal that it's acceptable to beat women in Poland."
On Friday, President Andrzej Duda signed a decision to grant a pardon to Robert Bąkiewicz . This comes after Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar, a day earlier, overturned the decision of his predecessors during the PiS government to withhold the sentence against the nationalist activist following the pardon procedure initiated in November 2023.
As part of his sentence, Bąkiewicz was to perform 30 hours of community service per month for a year and pay "Grandma Kasia" 10,000 złoty in compensation . By the president's decision, the activist will avoid this first sanction.
Robert Bąkiewicz pardoned by the president. "This is a very bad signal.""It's clear that Andrzej Duda, at the end of his presidency, has decided to embark on a new mission: building a right-wing party in Poland. Perhaps he's building a future for himself," Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk commented in "Graffiti." "I don't know if he drew opinions about Bąkiewicz from any circles, but I certainly wouldn't want to deal with that circle," she added.
The Minister of Family, Labor, and Social Policy emphasized that this decision "is scandalous." "It sends a very bad message that it's okay to beat women, that it's okay to throw people down stairs. You can be punished for this and still go unpunished, pardoned by the president," she said.

Marcin Fijołek, host of the program "Graffiti," asked Dziemianowicz-Bąk what the right-wing party was. "For example, Mr. Bąkiewicz (...) is simply a man who has been in league with the Law and Justice party (PiS) for years. A candidate on the ticket, a man who received generous funding to build his organization. The right-wing party is precisely the kind of group that pushes for violence, incites people, and insults the history of the Warsaw Uprising. Andrzej Duda and PiS probably want the right wing in Poland to look like this. One can only regret it," she said.
Robert Bąkiewicz pardoned. Minister: One hand washes the otherAccording to the minister, various political groups are needed in Poland, but "violence against another human being is the limit."
The Left-wing politician addressed the controversy surrounding the activities of "Grandma Kasia." "You can be a fan of this or that activist. I'm not one of her supporters, but on the one hand we have an elderly woman, and on the other a tall, young man who simply throws her down the stairs. This decision by Andrzej Duda is simply incomprehensible, scandalous, and offensive . However, it is understandable in political logic – it's simply 'one hand washes the other,'" she said. She added that "a man associated with PiS was pardoned by a president associated with PiS."
